February Daily Devotion – 2/20!!

FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTION

Isn’t that the truth. It is much easier to talk to God than to listen. We have a prayer room in our house. It is all white with a Cross and it says Be still and know that I am God. I have learned to speak to God, but then to wait 5-10 minutes and wait for him to speak to my spirit. If we are praying, we need to remember that we need to make sure all things are aligned with his ways. When we believe and really listen, we will hear him speak to our spirit. Today when you pray wait with expectancy.

FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTION

When we believe completely in God, we don’t have to Fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, Love, and self-discipline.” Satan wants nothing more than us to fear whatever we are facing, but we can ALWAYS trust in the one who created us. Always remember he can see the BIG picture. Today no matter what you are facing, rest in the Lord.

I so love this. . so many times, we are waiting for others to show what God calls all of us to show to each other. All of these things can change someone’s life. Don’t wait for others, but lead the way. Show them how important it is and today, pray who God would have you encourage and then be obedient.

FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTION

I often hear people say, they aren’t doing that bad and then compare themselves to one of their friends or family members. The truth of the matter is the only person we should be comparing ourselves to is Christ. Each day we should strive to be more and more like him. Yes, we will fall short every single day, but ultimately he is who we want to mirror. Others are watching us, so be the Best Jesus that you can.

FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTION

None of us like to go through pain or suffering. It is NOT fun, but we have to remember God can see the BIG pictures and sometimes we are allowed to go through that pain to bring our biggest blessings. We learn so much in trials and tribulations that we may just overlook otherwise. So many times our hearts are softened for the ones God wants us to witness to. Today, no matter what you are going through, Praise Him knowing your blessing is coming.

FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTION

No matter what you are going through remember God is in control. C.S. Lewis said God speaks to us in three ways, he whispers, he will speak to our conscious, and he will allow pain. Whatever it takes to get our attention and have us listen. Know that if you are going through struggles it may God’s way of getting you to “listen” to Him and Him alone!! In all things with prayer and supplication. Make your request known to God. So many attend church service on Sunday, but what do you do the rest of the week to get closer to God? Today, be still and listen to God. Meditate on his word and communication with Him just as you do with others.

FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTION

Today in celebration of Valentine’s Day, we will choose to celebrate as a family who our heart truly belongs too. Sure, I love my husband, Jamie, and I love our 7 children, but in all things and at all times my heart belongs to Jesus first and foremost. The illness I had two years ago made me realize so much in my life.  Being completely debilitated gives you a lot of time to think. As I spent many nights, days reading scripture I was reminded that Jesus is the healer, the provider, the great physician. He is our EVERYTHING. He is our hope in life and in death. So our family will be celebrating our hearts belonging to Jesus :-) May you all have a great Valentine’s Day!! I love each and everyone of you and it is not by chance you are on this page.  You don’t’ have to think like me or feel like I do because my love is unconditional for you all :-)

FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTION

One of the hardest things with being a Christian is having God say no, but when we remember the no means that God has something better, a redirection for our life, makes it so much easier to handle. Today, if God has said no to your prayer, know it is because he has much better plans for your life and His plans are ALWAYS better.

As we go through trials in life, we try to find comfort in so many things, but our true comfort comes from Christ. If you are in a storm right now, embrace it, and ask God what he would have you learn from it. Trust him, he is the ONLY comforter!!

God’s word says in Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.” God made us uniquely in his image. God knows our heart and that is who we need to please. Don’t try to be something or somebody else, embrace who God made you.
