Caramel Apple Turkey Treats
Thanksgiving is almost here and classroom parties are going to be getting planned. Here is a quick party snack the kiddos will love.
Start with contrasting colored apples; green and reds. Using an apple slicer, cut up your apples removing the core.
Spoon caramel into a small round bowl. Smooth out the top and using candy corn place the beak and cut the white end off of another candy corn for the eyes. However you could be creative here by using chocolate chips or purchasing candied eyes.
Place the bowl of caramel on a plate and begin to layer the apple slices around the plate to make the turkey’s feathers, alternating the colors.
The finishing touch is the feet. taking an apple slice cut out the legs. Depending on your skill level, you can create a pair of great turkey legs 🙂 Delicious!!!
