We need to stop underestimating the goodness of our God. Even when things appear dark to our “human eyes”, God is still sovereign and in charge. We need to look through “spiritual eyes”. We may be right where God wants us. We need to enjoy the adventurous journey that we are on and always be a bright light in this dark world 🙂
Isn’t that the truth. It is much easier to talk to God than to listen. We have a prayer room in our house. It is all white with a Cross and it says Be still and know that I am God. I have learned to speak to God, but then to wait 5-10 minutes and wait for him to speak to my spirit. If we are praying, we need to remember that we need to make sure all things are aligned with his ways. When we believe and really listen, we will hear him speak to our spirit. Today when you pray wait with expectancy.
We often wonder why we are allowed to go through “tough” times in life, but I truly believe that is when God can use us the most. When we are left with ONLY Him, we can see his BIG picture and know that His plans are good. How many times have you (and I) come out of a “dark time” and realized it was really a God moment. That God used us in a way that if we were not completely dependent on Him, the results would not be the same.
Today, no matter what you are going through, ask God what he wants you to learn. What he wants you to become and then thank Him for the storm. Because when we come out of that storm, we are usually stronger and closer to God than ever before.
God’s plans are so much better and BIGGER than our plans. That is why it is so important to dream God-sized dreams. Dreams that seem impossible in human eyes, but with God eyes, all things are possible. No matter what you are facing, know it is going to be better than okay.
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” No matter what you are facing, hand it over to God. Rather than telling God how BIG your problem is, tell your problem, how BIG our God is.
Our value does NOT come from what others think of us, but rather whose we belong to and that is Jesus. Don’t let anyone make you feel less than the masterpiece God created you to be. We are created in his image and each and everyone of us has the same value!!
C.S. Lewis said that God gets our attention in three ways, he whispers, he speaks to our spirit, or he allows pain. When we are at the end of our rope, we are closer to God than we even know. To often we seek advice from everyone else and then as a last resort we seek God. As Christians, we should ALWAYS go to God first. Seek his wisdom and rest in him. Today, if you feel at the end of your rope, pray, meditate, and then wait to hear from God. He is with us all!!
God’s word says in Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” So many times we find ourselves worried and anxious about problems and start seeking counsel from our earthly friends and when they can’t help us, then we turn to God. Our first stop ALWAYS should be talking to God and seeking his wisdom. We need to give God our burdens and trust him. There is no reason for us to carry them around, give it to God, pray for wisdom and discernment and then be still and know that He is God!!
If God gives you a dream, and the dream comes to life and God shows up in it, and then the dream dies, it may be that God wants to see what is more important to you – the dream or Him. Which do you love more: the dream God gave to you or the god who gave you the dream? Is your dream a means to glorifying God? We need to keep our dreams aligned with God’s will – Mark Batterson
The Word says “Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10. We want God to answer prayers and we ask for these BIG signs, but God is saying slow down and listen to me. . in the quietness. We need to learn how to quiet our hearts and minds to hear from him fully.
