Why do Kids Become Bullies?

**WHY DO KIDS BECOME BULLIES?**

Just something I observed once again tonight. Everyone wonders where kids learn bullying from. . go sit at a competitive kids (yes, young kids) sporting event and watch the ways the coaches talk to the kids. I can say we have been blessed with Jonah’s soccer coaches every year but as I sat at our 12-year-old son, Isaiah’s baseball game tonight, I had to leave because my stomach was sick. It is unacceptable the way these coaches treat kids. . . but it happens on every field, in every game, and parents accept it. I think I am going to make a youtube video on how not to treat kids if you are a coach by videoing over-the-top coaches (checking with my attorney that there are no legal ramifications to this) . . we, the parents, have to intervene and say it is not acceptable. Now granted, I don’t mind if a coach lets the kids know they did something wrong, as long as they are just as quick to praise them, encourage them, and help them to be better players, but to belittle them, you are not going to get a positive response from the kids. It truly saddens me deeply.
