I get this question often. People really want to know why they should stockpile. Here is a brief reason why and I hope this helps you understand. .

First, all items will go on sale at rock bottom prices once or twice a year. I am in the process of compiling a list so everyone can see when items are normally the lowest. I am also compiling a list of the prices I use for matchups for my FREE/CHEAP items. I have a bottom line for the amount I will pay for every item I purchase and that is how I put the weekly store matchups together . I will try to get that posted in the next month or so, but for now here is why stockpiling is so important.

If you haven’t already seen almost every store is having amazing sales on cereal. What does that mean? It is time to stock up. Cereal has a very long shelf life 8-12 months. If your family uses cereal, I would suggest getting enough for at least six months. Why? Because if you can get it for FREE – $0.50 and your family goes through a box a week then you are saving your family a significant amount of money.

Here’s the breakdown:
Cereal is normally priced at $3.99 a box.

STOCKPILE PRICE:
Now let’s say you are getting it for $0.50 a box and stock up for six months (26 boxes).
26 x $0.50 = $13 for 26 boxes of cereal

WEEKLY PRICE:
Now, look at it if you do not stockpile. You purchase it at $3.99/box for six months (26 boxes).
$3.99 x 26 = $103.74 for 26 boxes of cereal

So you can all see by stockpiling when it is on sale you just saved your family $90.74 for six months on just cereal alone!! Now imagine if you do that for all items your family uses. See how quickly the savings adds up.
