FEBRUARY DAILY DEVOTIONWe know as Christians we are supposed to give complete control of our lives. Thus meaning, we need to give him all our cares and worries, but so often we hand them over to him, only to take them back when we are not getting the results quick enough. Sometimes we may even try to manipulate the outcome of things the way we want them, but that is not truly trusting in God’s plan or God’s timing. Today, give it ALL to God knowing His plans are better and His timing is PERFECT!! He will open and close doors that no man can open or close.
So often when we feel inconvenienced when things are not going how WE had planned, we get discouraged. BUT that is when we have to remember that God can see the FULL picture. His plans are better than ours and HIS ways are better than ours. We need to rest assured that God is protecting us.
If God gives you a dream, and the dream comes to life and God shows up in it, and then the dream dies, it may be that God wants to see what is more important to you – the dream or Him. Which do you love more: the dream God gave to you or the god who gave you the dream? Is your dream a means to glorifying God? We need to keep our dreams aligned with God’s will – Mark Batterson
So often Satan attacks us when we are least expecting, but if we remain faithful and trust God through the storm, we will come out much stronger. Each and every day we need to put on the full armor of God – Satan better look out, because no weapon formed against us shall prosper!
Scripture says in Romans 12:2 “2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” But I think so often we start living like this world rather than living like this is a temporary life. Our eternal home is in heaven so we need to keep our eyes on God’s will and not worry if the world approves of us or not 🙂

This has so much truth in it. How often do we pray and then take the burden back because we don’t think God is answering quick enough? I know I sure do. We need to remember that God can see the “entire” picture and sometimes it takes time to “fix” our problems or make them perfect in His sight. So once we pray and give it to Him, we need to learn to leave it in his hands knowing the outcome He has for us is much better than what we could ever dream of.
